6a13 is the engine model... a 2.5 lt v6 twin turbo.....hmmm

FTO GR and GPX share the same 6a12(2.0lt v6),
But GPX has the Technology MIVEC

mivec is Variable valve timing.. just like VTEC YO!!!!!(honda) and VVTl-i(toyota)

ps woops, i just read your post, u know all this stuff. hahahaha

yygirl, personally i don't think it makes sense to convert a GR motor into a MIVEC because for the costs involved in the GR --> GPX conversion, you're better off with a basic turbo install as you will be getting way more than the extra 25kw that the MIVEC motor will give you... however, you may be up for extra costs, plus insurance and engineer's report.

if i were you, i'd either trade in the GR to buy a GPX, or save up a little more (or sign up for a personal loan if you're suicidal) for a custom turbo job.

btw, the 6A13 will cost you at least twice the costs required for the turbo job, so if you ain't got at least $15K to spend - either keep saving or forget it.

i was actually suggesting if you wanted to convert a GR to a mivec you might as well use the 6A13 mivec being developed by RPW in Perth or go for a turbo.

I highly recommend the turbo option, once you get use to it, it so nice to drive. :D
