Yeah some of the pressure senders are pretty big. Especially the Autometer ones.

That is about the size of my one, I'll see how it goes with the sandwich plate and go from there.

It has 3 ports so you can run temp and pressure off of it
Hm, just thinking about it in my head I would have thought there is no room near the filter for the pressure sender and another fitting for temp, I'll need to jump under and take another look. Where did you get your sandwich plate?

I got mine from Autobarn, just that SAAS one they sell.
However the bolt that goes through the sandwich plate and onto the oil filter thread is too long and will need to be cut down to size. You need to take roughly 10mm off

That's pretty big (no that is not what she said).
That wouldn't fit on a sandwich plate.
The senders for my gauges are quite small and had no issues fitting

Spetz can you send pics of your setup or link where you got your pressure sender? I don't want to buy one too large...

I got this gauge (and matching oil temp gauge):
https://www.shiftperformance.com.au/pro ... yline-gtr/

And the senders were fine.

The sandwich plates required minor adjusting though.
The bolt/screw that goes in the middle of the plate is a bit long and contacts the block before it tightens the plate.
You need to cut it down about 10mm

Thanks, that sender is TINY compared to mine, will need to try source something similar...

I assume that senders/gauges must be matched though or the reading will be different?

Just thinking quickly at how the pressure sensor actually works I wouldn't imagine so.

We actually got these gauges for free from someone who imports track cars from Japan and parts them out of NZ and he chucked in the sender and said it will work fine.

Different sensors have different ranges, if you're lucky you could find one that works, but generally unless made by the same company (even then not a guarantee) you'll have a different reading.

The one spetz linked to uses a pressure transducer, bit more accurate than the typical cheaper senders. (Comparing two units of the same quality)

Thanks Rob, I guess I will try make this autometer one work with the sandwich plate and if it doesn't play ball tee it off the pressure switch.
