Driving on the road today and I saw this...

Post by Astron_Boy »

Guess the reference.

Meanwhile, a new continuation of an old buried thread, the cars lately have been coming out the wood work in my area, and today was no exception.
Spotted this gem, managed to snap a couple of shots.

yes, those are California tags and LHD. not every day I see that.

Lol look at that giant merc badge on the bonnet  Traitor!
Im assuming that would be a fresh import straight off the boat but i would of thought that they would have taken the cali plates before they drove or something - no way theyre driving round on those plates everyday?
Also, i have nfi about this reference lmao

He'd have a temp permit to drive the car on the road from point A - B.

Could tell the guy was enjoying it too,

Pfft its just a sh*tty Beemer, not even an M series GTR which is the ONLY few cars that save that company from being a complete waste of time for me like Merc's
(sorry but AMG just doesnt do it for me :( If i wanted a 5L V10 its not going to be in a luxury merc, it will be in a viper or something similiar  )
Surprised they even let the plates into the country to be honest, would be more logical to surrender them in the US or at the docks here and get one of those temp permits on paper and just have no plates as he is only driving from A to B

(also again why the hell would you waste money on importing something like that? mind you i cant understand why people BUY those things in the first place  )

Ignorance really is bliss!

K, you obviously don't see the tuning companies badge on there.

It's an Alpina B7, not your everyday 7 series!

Coming from someone that has owned an AMG...

I would take it over a viper any day..

The Hermans put a quality car together, unlike the primitive Americans..
I just had to add it ......

2nd.
The Japs do a good job, but nothing feels better than German engineering.

Hell, even my old 64 VW Bug was built better than most American cars these days
