what is the right tyre pressure?

I still have the stock tyres that came with my FTO, they are called ventus v8 rs. what is the right tyre pressure i should use to optimise performance.

There should be a label - i think in the glove compartment or sides of the doors... Those will have the manufacturer's recommended tyre pressures... I think its 32psi for stock wheels+stock size tires...

Recommended setting is good for ride comfort and saving the tyres.
My fav settings.
Dry: 38-40 fronts, rears: 33-36 PSI.
Wet: 35-37 fronts, rears 32-34 PSI.
Normally i go by whatever PSI that gives me the best fuel millage down to the last coupe kays to empty.
If you're gonna play with the tyre pressure with every fill, keep the tyre valve lubed with WD40.Had air leaks due to wear over time.

Hey aza, correct me if am wrong, but the psi reading at the tyre's side wall is the maximum tyre pressure for it for bearing the designated load safely and at the specified speed rating. It is not however the recommended tyre pressure by the manufacturer.

The recommended tyre pressure would depend on the car's weight+combined weight of all the persons travelling in the car+weight of luggage accessories. A safe bet would be to refer the car's manual, but many of the modern tyres can give you a smooth ride between 32-36 (for the fto i think.)

My motorbikes get 40f-42r and 36f-38r. I have noticed 32-34 on my Michelin Sports 3 for the Fto gives me a smoother ride.

32psi front 28psi rear is Mitsubishi spec for standard size tyres. 60psi for the space saver too.

If you have stock wheels. Anything from 30-40 is sufficient.

Change the tyre to Kumho KU36 about 2months ago and just checked the pressure last night. The front were about 37psi and the rear were 35psi. I drop it down to 34, 32. Feels a tat less harsh now.

Ok guys and gals I went to check/put air in today and I always used to go 32psi front 29psi rear but on this car (facelift) I have a sticker on the inside of the door frame bit just up from the sills and it's a mitsi sticker which says 36 front 36 rear, that seems way too high.
I've also got a sticker on the underside of the bonnet with tappet clearances and that's different to what I expected too, what's going on with these Mitsi stickers?

Would probably be from mitsubishi specs and not altered for use over here. They're all imports, remember...
