QUOTE
.....................................................................................................................................................................
Subject to the the design of the widebody. There is no wide bodies off the shelf for the FTO, so it will need to be custom.

Front Guards 20hr @ $80/hr ........$1600
Rear Guards 25hr @ $80/hr.........$2000
Front Bumper (modified to suit)...$1100
Rear Bumper (modified to suit)...$1100
Side skirts (modified to suit)........$700

Total... $6500

Paint

Window Removal and Refit $300
Removal and refit of all panels $800
Paint $4500 (assuming standard 2 stage colour, clear over base)
Materials $1600
Extra time to prep all fibreglass panels $800
Body work POA, all cars have some form of body work.

Total $8000

This is an estimate without viewing the car. To give an accurate quote, the car must viewed and strip

We will only do custom work if it is sprayed by us, this is the only way we can assure that the job will be completed properly and do to a high standard that represents our work.

* Also, remember, 75% of the car will be fibregalss, which is allot more work in painting than just a standard metal respray. 3 layers, and candy's extra.

Kaze in Japan do a wide arch kit. I can get it. Just not sure what it would cost landed. They also do wide arch fenders as well

    Well, here is their site:

    http://aerocraft-kaze.com/index1.html

Prices are in Yen, so youd have to do a conversion. The guy I go through charges 10% of part cost (although for more expensive parts this goes down). As to freight, no idea at this point. Can probably find out given time.

Ummmmm yep it is. Has been kicking around for an age and has not been updated in recent years. They sell those parts on Yahoo Japan as well though, so still making them. Fairly expensive though.

Wouldnt be A LOT cheaper to just weld on a bracket and off set the fenders, cut open the rear quarters and fill them out (Jaime has done it on his) and mould on something to the front bar to keep the line of the car going?
Would save respraying the whole car and a lot more hidden costs... - just my 2 cents as i was talking this over with my guy a few months ago - a lot more feesable than creating a seperate kit altogether

Was just looking at the quote above and wondering if based on that it would be better going for something off the shelf. Custom work is really expensive. Im not sure if the quote above is representative or whether it is a little rich, but getting the Kaze bits over would possibly be cheaper than that I think.
