In my humble opinion, the reality of the matter is that scissor doors (and other similar modifications) will more likely net you a $1k loss rather than bumping up the price by $1k.
Think of it this way, the market share that will be interested in modifications like scissors doors are kids. Kids that can barely afford an R/C car, let alone a real car.
The market share of potential buyers which are both willing and able to buy an FTO in the upper price range will be looking for pristine stock examples.
I don't mean this to be harsh, but an FTO with a non original motor (no matter what the mileage claim may be) with clown car modifications will not net a high price.
If it isn't too difficult, have you considered bringing some areas of the car back to stock, and selling these parts?

Sup guys.
Just want you all to know i did sell it.
Got 7k. The person who bought it off me actually works where i moved too so i have the sadness of seeing it drive past me at work occasionally.
It was a fun few years. Now i'm driving my paddock basher mazda 323 with 270,000 kms on the clock.
Never know, might get another FTO one day and have as a project.
HOUSE FIRST THOUGH.
