And lol at all those calling it an FTO replacement that just happens to be a rear wheel drive. Its the size of of a 370Z and is the theoretical successor to the AE86 Trueno / Sprinter.
Agree to all of that.

And as I've said, when they're on the road, I'll believe it, until then I remain skeptic for the fact of hippies and their annoying ways.

Aza, look up Viper Defender, you will be surprised to find out just how old that design is!

I've been waiting for this for ages to get one for my misses, i've been tossing up between buying one of these or a Hyundai Veloster turbo.

Apparently on the same level as the GOLF GTI, unfortunately the turbo version doesn't come out in aus until 2013.

Yea but its a Hyundai, hate them ALMOST as much as mazdas...
Rather sink my money into a mitsu or a nissan, or possibly a subee
If aftermarket becomes acceptable for the BRZ in the next few years, think i might have to get one

Will wait till either the turbo version arrives, or till the yanks make a kit for them.
There was talk of a supercharged version... :) but not at initial release.

I'd rather have the Focus RS.

We can't hate them forever, they've come a long way from the old bubble excel. By the end of 2013 they will have three real sports cars that all perform in the Australian Market. If they keep going like this there next generations should be quiet intersting as well

For me they will never compete with the likes of the WRX, EVO, GTR etc while they might produce a COUPLE of good cars, they still havent and probably wont make an iconic car to set them as a proper car company amongst the modding community.

Hyundai are not even within a bulls roar of the main jap staples. The finishes & quality controls are just not good enough.
It's the little things that are wrong with it / were not done properly that sets Hyundai behind the big 3.

My misses has a brand new ix35....

For example, the very first time I hit the 'Aux' button on the sterio, it got stuck it... its still stuck in. Even after repeated requests to fix it at service time.

Everytime I jump in the drivers seat, the head rest shoots out & hits the roof :|

The rear drivers side door trim isn't properly fitted & ass such, the door is tough to close.

Whilst they look fantastic, the A/C vents in dash are unable to be directed at any useful angle whatsoever. Whoever did the functionality testing there should be shot.

The steering has this enormous gap from being centred to actually turning the wheels left or right. I've been assured this 'play' is within acceptable tolerances

Oh & from time to time the gearbox will jump into safe mode (ie stuck in 4th) & the only way to get it out is to pull over & restart the car. Again, during service I was assured there were no error codes coming from the box.

Whilst Hyundais are very much on par with other makes so far as aesthetics go, they are still 20 years behind everywhere else. Just like they were 20 years ago with the Excel.

I thought the passenger was having trouble with his harness, he must have gone out the window on one of the drifts.
