not to sure what he says about it but he did say is wasnt reving as much as it should.
not sure if it was a wire or the rev counter was causing a fault in the rev range.
it was still reading for 4 cyl on the dials

nope just standard glass then had them tinted
nah im sure thats the way the top mounts sit man
for some reason they couldnt read the exact rpm
the purple colt seems more controlable
not sure if its because im using d2 coilovers
i was using jic coilovers in the black colt
they were both around the same millage
there is only 3 days of manufacturer dates with them lol

yup will keep yous posted :)

Keep up the great work, and make sure to keep updating us :)
Ok mate just went a run in the v6 colt. I have accurate dials now and it does seem that it hits the limiter just under 7k rpm :-S
What can I do about this?

I hope you're not taking that reading from a cold engine. Try driving around for 20-25 minutes to allow the engine and gearbox oil to FULLY heat up, then give it a squirt. Did you change your oil when you put in the engine? Does it have a FTO ecu?

A wee update, my wife blew the fiat punto up abd had to use the spare colt, so I had to put my v6 back on the road as a n/a
But with the mivec controller on and the rev counter working properly I went on the dyno, running a tad rich but managed 211bhp
141whp
Pretty happy with that result,
Also managed 115bhp and 81whp
With my 1.6 sohc colt :-)

Hi just wondering what car did you use the awd out of and gear box did you use? do you use a evo 3 drive train and trailing arms with a vr4 gallant gear box? did you have to use the floor pan out of an evo 3 to get it to work? very interested great work by the way a lot of hard work and time put into your build keep it up :)
