my v6 mivec colt going awd turbo :)
well as most of you know i had a bad bump with his beautiful v6 colt,
so he got another 1.6 colt and got to keep my old car... so as you have guessed, im putting everything from the smashed colt into the new one .. and this one will be a lot nicer and faster when we are finished with it ..
so here is the pics so far of my total strip down and build up !
these are the pics from my phone
and the reason there hasnt been any updates or photos of parts
well time for an update !
got the v6 into the new body and also got the new brake discs on.
got all of the loom wired up and the hearter matrix in, got the carpet it too !
best part of the day is the fact that we got the engine ticking over lovit
but we hadnt hooked up the fuel lines so it didnt start . just wanted to hear it tick over
next week we will get the new petrol tank on and exhaust, hook up the fuel lines, finish the interior (dash, back seats, front seats) fit the coilovers get the wheels on and then we will be done !
then the paint job ...
heres the pics
my other wee jap car

Top work there.
That is a massive effort, and good work sticking with it.
Seems like a lot of hardship, but atleast you are reaping the rewards.

my first was a 1.6 blue glx tastefuly modifyed
my second was the smashed black 1 in the pics (broke my heart when that happened)

i was thinking about putting the fto motor and running gear in a mirage thats what we call a colt over here but im having to much fun in the fto at the moment. a lot of people on here were not big fans of fto motor's in mirage's but seeing your awesome build i think thay might like the idea
FTO ftw

Are the side mount insulator the same size as the the colt? Always thought they were the same??

Looks great there Gavo
Never realized that this isn't the original Colt.
Just a couple of q's:
1. Did you get new windows? Are they lexan or something?
2. Did you put the D2 coilover top mounts wrong at the front?
3. On your dyno sheet, you seem to be making peak power really early? Under 7,000rpm?
4. How many miles were on each respective Colt, and did they feel at all different to each other?
Keep up the great work, and make sure to keep updating us

Re: my v6 mivec colt going awd turbo :)
whats a side mount insulator?
nope just standard glass then had them tinted
nah im sure thats the way the top mounts sit man
for some reason they couldnt read the exact rpm
the purple colt seems more controlable
not sure if its because im using d2 coilovers
i was using jic coilovers in the black colt
they were both around the same millage
there is only 3 days of manufacturer dates with them lol
yup will keep yous posted

Re: my v6 mivec colt going awd turbo :)
The hp relies on rpm though so I assume there must be some mistake with the reading
