My Music Production

Post by ObsidianRadio »

Okay, so some of you would be wondering why my username is Obsidian Radio...

Allow me to show you one of my numerous jobs!

I am a co-owner and manager of a recording studio here in Adelaide, and I am also a music producer in a duo known as "Obsidian Radio". We've been producing for twelve months now, and we have had numerous successes since our first release!

Our latest release "Nineteen" achieved chart status in the "Top 92 of 2011" of Adelaide station Fresh 92.7 (my other work)...We're recieving a lot of radio airplay so that's a plus! We're currently in the process of distributing interstate so we might be on a station near you at some point! However, working all this sh*t out gets difficult when you're juggling DJ work several nights a week, and the running of a radio station and recording studio during the day...I also DJ under the name at one of Adelaide's "super-clubs" on a weekly basis, so it keeps me busy!

Thought I'd drop you a few links so you can check out what we've done, and you can look us up on Facebook as well to hear all our updates (we don't actually update, I can't be f**ked but hey, likes are good)

Here they are!

Feel free to check us out, and let me know what you think of the tunes! :D

Just thought that I'd update everybody on how it's been going...

We are releasing a new track next week titled "Stalker", for a vocalist by the name of Jude Elliot, of whom is signed to the Universal record label.

We are also undertaking our next piece with a vocalist by the name of Jan Johnston, of whom some of the old trance lovers would most certainly have heard of! She's signed to the Perfecto record label, of which is run by Paul Oakenfold (Gen Y wouldn't know him), and has worked with the likes of BT, Oakenfold, ATB and Tiesto.

Will post a link up once the new track is out next week! :D

WOW.....what an awesome track.
I have it playing on constant repeat
The intro is epic, the entire track sucked me in and I want more.
Would be perfect for a movie or game theme track.

It whispered my name, became me and swallowed me whole.

Thanks man!!

I'll hopefully be getting started on a longer "club mix" edit, as I have an awful lot of unused vocals and melodies... I'll keep you posted!

Made the soundcloud and youtube links private while our manager pitches record companies. No company will sign a record that's already online. If anybody still wants a listen who has not yet had the chance, let me know and I'll send a private link!
