Good mod if you don't have the factory driving lights installed!

Take you long to do?

Now why would I need factory driving lights on a race track

Obviously this is not a mod for your average street car. Only needed for serious track work 8)

Yeah, fair point.
The merc has factory brake cooling ducts built in to the bumper (meanwhile those brakes have to cope with near 2 tonne...)

A lot of peeps don't have the driving lights due to compliance, so a good mod to make use of the holes!

You still have all the plastic engine under gaurding as well, I would of thought you'd binned that as 'extra weight' long ago

Nope, only the piece along the side of the belts. I kept this to give the belts a little protection from debris flying up off the track. And this now serves to keep the ducting away from the belts with the help of the alloy bracket you can see in the pics. But yeah the rest went, not so much for weight saving, more so for pita factor everytime I needed to take them off or put them back on

Close enough

There's plenty of clearance, 1 to 2 inches, and it's all held rigid thanks to the alloy bracket in the pic.

The power steering belt will be going soon anyway
