All that new stuff looks great even more so the slicks :twisted: you just need to run them in and your hot to trot ( one or two laps around the mountain will fix that up) :D .

Air intake pics updated on the previous page.

Front bar is now back on and the car's on the trailer ready to take to Eastern Creek tomorrow for testing. Who's coming out for a look :?:

If all goes well tomorrow I'm hoping to install the upgraded front and rear anti-roll bars on the weekend along with the Megan Racing control arms and a few new poly bushes, plus some modified front control arms;

If anyone's free on the weekend I'd really appreciate anyone who might like to come around and give me a hand. I still have so much to do before Bathurst and rapidly running out of time, so any extra hands would be great.

Final pic - battery powered FTO anyone 8)

Testing at Eastern Creek went well yesterday, all modifications seem to be working well.

Bad news is there simply wasn't enough track time and way too many cars on track to actually do any meaningful tuning, so it looks like I'll be tuning the car at Bathurst :)

I did manage to get some data though so I should at least have a target AFR to start with now.

All looking good so far, still lots to do.

That looks like a great intake setup.

Could you go into a bit of detail about what you have done / what you have used, specifically what have you used for the box, what kind of filter are you using inside, how have you attached the TB piping to the box and filter, what diameter piping have you used for the TB to the pod and how have you sealed the ducting from the front of the car to the box?

I am after a new intake setup and this looks like a really good way to go.
Me? Bitter? f**k no. I think it's hilarious.

Hi Dras, yeah I'm planning to do a few write ups after Bathurst, but if you're planning to do this yourself best to come have a look, there's only so much you can put in writing.

But to answer a couple of questions;
The ducting is the 100mm rangehood ducting from Bunnings - approx $30.
The 'air box' is from a Hyundai Sonata - around $30 from pick and payless.
The pod inside the airbox is a K&N.
Most of the mounting is by way of cable ties :lol:

I went out and bought a Sonata air box from pick and pay less yesterday. It is nice and big and I can see why you went with this box. I do have a few questions if you have a sec.

Are you using a K&N filter to suit the Sonata (E2875) or a generic filter?
Are you using the mount on the lid (filtered side) as is or did you enlarge it?
How did you seal the unused holes?
Me? Bitter? f**k no. I think it's hilarious.

Ben, fuel filter, 40 micron?
My understanding was, that 40 would suffice for a pre filter, your main filter should be 100 micron?
I will be running Aeromotive pump and 100 micron filter.
