The greatest comparison to the FTO is the DB9. It looks like an updated version of the FTO.
The lines are more crisp, less aesthetic bumps, etc.
I 100% Agree with this!! - Love the DB9 :)
Taz wrote:The real difference is that cars today are much less 'aggressive' and primarily focused on safety (which means height compared to an fto/rx7 etc) and fuel economy/emissions.
People aren't as interested in agressively fast looking cars anymore, car market is slowly but surely dying out for people like us  i think the 86/BRZ might be the last one of its kind we see in a while.
Let's just hope it sells dam well, and encourages others to follow and to make a 'car enthusiast' car again!

Wow lol not trying to be a dick but
Your car has $500 worth of damage
You owe me $500
You owe Dwayne for the bonnet
You have to still buy a half cut for your blue project
You have to muck around getting it in and running plus your awd conversion
You just moved into a house and got engaged
And you work at aldi?
How are you going to get a brz/86 next year? Lol

My car does not have 500 damage, I don't have to buy a half cut and tinker with awd right now as of this second, I'm close to paying my fto off altogether, I'm about to move nut bond is paid, rent is the same and we have everything between us, I have 2 jobs, and make 50 a year and I can easily get another car loan when this one is paid off in a few months sooo.... How is buying a car nearly 2 years from now going to be a problem?

No no I wasn't trying to tell you how to live your life And sorry if it sounded rude (which it was)
Didn't even think about a car loan either so yeah it is quite possible you could get a brz next year and oh taz you still keen to do some DIY ing Tomorow man?
And back on topic I saw another Gto today while in the work van and I'm starting to like them a bit more (still ugly though)

Toyota apparently is trying to release a supercharged version, however as of the last rumor i read suburu have a better tune on the car. They are officially 'twins' with the only REAL difference being the manufacturers tune and special upgrades (i.e. the toyota supercharger)

What im surprised about is that this will be the first and probably only suburu car that isnt awd, must be a pretty damned good car to break the rules of suburu..

Yea I was reading they are looking at a TRD model, and a Tuned Subaru model, but won't be calling it an STI
