Ain't an FTO, but at least it's Japanese?

From Ferrari's to Fiats, it happens in here.

Ain't an FTO, but at least it's Japanese?

Post by bjk »

Howdy kids, if you have a weak constitution regarding automobiles, please redirect your browser now.

First car, bought with dad's help (hence the manner of car). Disappointed it isn't an FTO, but I've grown to like it enough. Zippy and handles well (at least from my experience). Looks better at some angles than others. :?

/commence derision?

It's not a bad first car, but it does leave a lot to be desired

I think the main thing being.

Just leave it alone, don't touch the damn thing at all, last thing the world needs is another riced up shopping mobile.

Decent car, so keep it that way.

Fair point, and fortunately for you I don't have the money for, well... basically anything at the moment. When they're done right, they do look pretty sweet however. But again, nothing I'd be able to afford, and asking whether or not it would be better off saving for an FTO if that's what I really want.

Could I get away with wheels? Only up to 16 inch.

It's all personal opinion, but things like 'factory wheels' or Mazda brand wheels from another model is tasteful.
When people start doing dinner plates or light weight enkeis with a suck me off spoiler and hoon canon, it gets a bit much.

The worst of all things is when you get the cheapo supercheap checkerplate floor mats with seat covers to match, off colored gearshift knobs and matching steering wheels *shudder*

I had my Magna at that point when I was younger, not to the greatest degree, but suffice to say it looks factory spec now, and if I ever put it back on the road it has the factory GT wheels to go on also.

Again, personal taste.

Definitely not a fan of those mentioned, esp. the dinner plates. It must be easy being a wheel designer when there's some Commodore owner who will put virtually anything on.

I was thinking these (or basically similar) since it's the car is a light colour.

But it depends whether I can find them/anything else, and can be bothered investing in them.

Save your money. Don't go wasting it on this car. The quicker you can save, the sooner you'll be in an FTO.

You can't polish a turd, but you can roll it in glitter, but I think in this case it's best to leave it alone.

agree to the first post.
flol to the second.

I could have kept fixing up the NX I bought, it was a fun little car, and if ever a good alternate to a Lotus came along, that would be it.

Having said that, the money I saved not spending it on the NX I spent to buy the Merc.

I enjoyed the car for what it was, sold it to the 1 person who could destroy it with a key turn ( ) and now riding in luxury 8)

My first car was a 1995 MX6 2WS. Great car, mind you, anyone looking for an MX6 let me know ;).

Cant see myself in another car after FTO at this rate though

Nice, I see them around every now and then. Always thought it was a bit long at the end, but maybe that was just the style.

Ahhhhhh, I hate the longing for things to happen instantly. I'm just hoping there'll still be some good examples of the car by the time I can possibly get one, haha.
