They are decent bikes. Enough power and stability for highways..but long trips are going to be a pain (am talking 400km+ stretches). Great handling. Not as powerful as a ZX6R but they can be easily unrestricted.
Add a nice exhaust can and a power commander and you will enjoy it till you go full license.

hehe i was gonna say thatt ... what u mean their gonna be a pain with long trips? not as comfy? will it be hard to sell if its been unrestricted ? & once you unrestrict the bike it wont go back to LAMS approved anymore?

From what I saw in the video it would be simple to restrict it again. Just put the screw and plug back in.

Yep correct. That's what I have heard as well.
Only thing to consider, if you crash with the bike unrestricted and you are on a restricted license, you might not be insured (or charged for riding an unrestricted bike?)
If this is your first bike, the restricted version will have enough oomph for you anyways. You can always un- restrict it once you get on P's or something.

Sports bikes are never comfortable for long trips because of the sitting position. You can't move around the bike and you soon start getting numb ass, bad lower back pain, wrist pain, and knee pain. Since a sports bike has more aggressive acceleration, that exhausts you very fast during long rides as well. They are good bikes for a city spin or a small trip around the twisties. But don't expect a comfortable ride if you plan on heading to Sydney with this.

yeahh i think thats what i will be aiming for then, it looks great, and i wont be needing it for long trips as i've got my car hehe! and unrestricting it once im on my opens seems legit thanks for the advice shadowarrior!!

Yeh i fixed it all apart from fairings now but ill probs leave them till I sell it.

Yeah repairing fairings are quite expensive. That's why I stay clear off faired bikes. The rattle when the bike gets old, cost to fix them, and the extra work if I want to do any work on the bike and not to mention more insurance premium.

If someone locks the front wheel at any decent speed, they do a high slide not a low slide. Only way to low slide on speed is a rear wheel lock. So not sure if the ABS would have saved him on such a low speed crash. I'd assume needs more balance/riding skill than the ABS.

BTW, low slide: you under Bike. High slide: you over the bike.

Some useful info, I was a motorcycle postman for 8 years and completed 3 "stay upright" riding courses (before they were compulsary for licensing)

If you lock the front brake, tyre slides and the forks fold under.......You release the brake lever and the bike will upright itself, even if you are at the verge of hitting the deck.
