Hi All, Newbie Alert.

Post by JMS »

Good day all ladies and gents,
Ive bought myself my schoolboy fantasy car finally a lovely white manual '97 GPvR :) .

She's got lowered suspension and a super rice exhaust and rear wing which resembles more of a shopping cart handle on the trolley rather than something that pushes downforce on a car powered from the front ;) but ya gotta love it coz unlike the standard spoiler, it rides above the rear view vision :P WIN!

After many months of me bangin on about how much the car/idea of owning an FTO and a missed opportunity my fiance has turned around to the concept and it has as much turned into part of the family as a means of transport.

Ive had some minor problems with it... some dirty old coolant caused the pipes to deteriorate and bust on me whilst driving around lane cove, but after researching with you guys and online i grabbed some replacement hoses from it seems like the only suppliers in australia  williams race services.

Im quite keen on doing some minor work on it so i can call it my pride and joy and with the mechanical help of my good friend Mike at Silverwater Automotive Services keeping her in good condition, im sure the car will be as good looking inside and out as it is to drive round in.

After 8 months of bringing this lovely vehicle to drive these lands ive layed about 15000 on her so far, and loving them all, she'll be driving us up to queensland coast and inland roads for our honeymoon which im quite looking forward to (although a 6th gear would be nice for the F3 which is quite the fuel guzzler).

Im having fun in it so much that ill be around often, the rego is BL14ZC and with the distinctive wing im sure it will attract the right (and wrong :P ) attention soon enough, im eager to help out with things as much as i can through this site and lookking forward to share some of the passion with like mindeds (which unfortuately is hard to find around).

Thanks for reading and see you earning well desrved head turns too 8) .

Jimmi.

Welcome to the club dude! :)

Should put some Woolies stickers on that spoiler of yours and make it into a REAL shopping cart ;)

Haha, think I saw you last week Saturday just past the train overpass @ ryde.

Your description of the big GT wing, style of wheels, ricey exhaust, and looking at your DP, the FTO sticker above the MIVEC sticker fits the bill.
