ever weighed a space saver?

Just cause they save space doesn't mean they're light...

Mum's Audi has one. CONSIDERABLY lighter than the standard alloys on her car (18x8's with 245/45R18ZR's).

It's also a lot of fun when you forget to wind the spare all the way up, as it tends to move around when cornering. Drifties FTW! :P

Factory 18s against a space saver, for sure there is a weight difference.
Having said that, it's still 16kgs of dead weight.

The comprehensive insurance i'm looking at includes 2 call outs, and towing to the nearest authorised mechanic or safe place.
