Im guessing it would make it difficult to do coolant flushes. Looks cool, but not sure how sturdy or durable they'd be. Might look into them some more.

Says they are made of Pyrex Glass (glass used for baking dishes/scientific beakers) and they are tougher than silicone hose, , they show a car parked on top of one, would be durable/strong.
Coolant flushes would be the same, maybe have to take the glass off to give it a clean.
You can get them with LED's to light up coloured coolant 8)

This would have been pretty cool in the 90s...
So that should give you a pretty good clue as to whether or not it's a good idea today ;)
