Hi everyone, i'm hoping someone out there can help me.
The main engine drive belt on my GPX seems to be slipping, the belt squeaks loudly while idling and driving in low gears (which is embarrasing in it'self) and i have noticed while excellerating the rev meter doesn't show the revs going up somtimes when i can hear the engine revving faster.
I've checked the FTO workshop manual to find out how to adjust the belt and how far to tighten it, but i cant find any info about it.
Does anyone know any info/cure for this?
Thanks.

the belts squealing ? are you talking about the 2 external air con and alternator belts? If so they either need replacing if they are old or need tightening. If it is something else get it looked at quickly.
I have no idea about the engine speed increasing without the tacho increasing, i think you need to have another look, that doesnt really make sense.
