That's not actually the stick, its a small plastic canceller ring that goes in behind the wheel & sits just in front of the stick assembly on the steering shaft..

I'll have a look see if I have a one floating around. It's literally a 10 cent part.

PHIL069 wrote:Hi Bennoz, I have fluid leaking from the top of my steering rack into the cabin. I have noticed that you have a rack for sale. Am I better off fixing mine or replacing it with yours. Does your rack have the tie rod ends still attached, even though I have already ordered a set.
Nah, no tie rod ends on mine, so you could use your new ones on it.

Up to you, how you do it. You can get the racks reco'ed quite easily, however your car will be off the road while its being done obviously. Its not quite as quick a turn around as driveshafts (same guy does them.)

Oh & also... its a @#%$ing @#%# of a job too...
Even though it's a prick of a job it must be done sometime :(
Can I have yours after I get tax back at the latest :D
I assume yours has only done low km's
Yep, for sure.

It's done a few kms though, 160,xxx on the car when I wrecked it.
Would I be better off having it reco before installing? If yes how much is reco?
Probably a good idea. I'll look through my receipts when I get home, I had one done a year or so back ;)
Got my tax today
Can you find out how much to reco please?
If I PayPal you the cash can you have it reco'd for me to pick up from you after complette :P unless you are coming "delivering" this way sometime soon ;)

Is that $260 + $75 (for your rack) = $335
