Gas struts to suit FTO bonnet??

Post by Andym »

i thought this might be a simple but effective little update to the car as a whole but am not able to locate any struts which may be usable....

has anyone in the club done this modification before? or does anyone have any advice on which struts may work best and where i can source them??

found this picture for those who made no sense of the above.

I've got some, used universal ones. Only minor mods to fit.

I'm here.

Yes, I have them. Only modification needed to fit them is a hole drilled into the bottom bracket. If you use the hole that's already on them the bonnet will only close half way.
