Back to the Basics

Post by Taz »

Decided to play some good ol' GT2, and noticed this little oddity - a GPR is less expensive than a GPX!
Whats even better is they have 4 different types of fto! (incl the taevon trampio fto)
Got most of the JDM stuff as well, Galant VR4, FTO, GTO etc

Good stuff GT2, Good stuff, wonder what you can do to them once i can afford to even buy one lmfao (just started)

HA! just went through the used section, theyve got the ol GR and GPX in pre-facelift.
GPX has 197bhp and 1170kg - sounds about right 8)

I briefly played GT2... what horrible graphics.
Anyway, what I did like though is I drove an R32 GT-R and there was lag, and then boost kicked in, pretty realistic.
Now I'm playing GT5 and cars make boost as soon as the throttle is depressed... Not so realistic

As soon as I get home tomorrow, I am finding my GT2 disc and throwing it into the PS3
Already have a few FTOs in GT4, may as well get them in GT2 and 1 if they have them :)

Yeh I'm still wallowing in my disappointment with GT5.
Ocassionally put it on for a run or two, but just feels like they really missed their potential, and it feels dated :(

I played a bit of Forza 4 which to be honest may have been better than GT5...

So was gt5 when it was being created but there has been speculation that the ps3 won't be powerful enough to run the games graphics  sound like a new system will need to be developed hahaha

Exactly that.

I still have contacts at sony and it was a complete f**k up for years while they developed a console powerful enough (and cheap enough to produce) to run GT5, then PD spent 3 years de-tuning the game to run on what sony had produced.

this is why there is so many complaints about the shadows in GT5, the console cannot keep up with having to predict a smooth shadow and the result is the 'jigsaw' edge everyone whines about it. sony kept a tight lip about it whilst everyone flamed the game for it. GT6 wont be available till 2015 AT LEAST

From http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Japanese_superstitions

"There are several unlucky numbers in Japanese. Traditionally, 4 and 9 are unlucky. Four is sometimes pronounced shi, which is also the word for death."
