Post your battle stations.

Post by Astron_Boy »

So I recently re-did my computer desk.
Was getting slightly over eyefinity, and been getting odd lag, so opted to go big screen :cyclopsani:

My setup.

How do you find the Logitech gaming pad?
I opted for the Nostromo.

Nice headphones there - G35's, got em myself and they sure do go hard

Desk is far to cluttered though :( But nice setup none the less

@ Astron - is that a tv or a small screen making that one look big? Just wondering - reason i dont use my tv as main screen is native resolution sucks/latency (2ms compared to 8) compared to the monitor, wondering if im the only one who does this :P

It's a TV.
1080p resolution with 6.5ms refresh.

For the kind of gaming I do, it's barely noticeable.
The Philips next to it is a 21" 1080p @5ms.

Was tossing up to buy a 1440p 27", but wanted larger to fill the space.
The 360, Wii and Comp are all connected to the TV.

Despite the large size, the graphics at 1080 aren't really that bad.

I bought the N52TE originally, but won the logitech at a LAN, I love having the small display there, it's really handy for temps etc.
I prefer the shape of the N52, but prefer the buttons and joystick on this :)

Don't really use the headphones that much, only really for lans etc, but they do sound pretty damn good :)
It's not as cluttered now as it was in that pic, I just had a lot of stuff out for writing an essay at the time :?

Mine's more of a show-pony setup than anything. 42" LCD connected to a REALLY OLD desktop, wireless keyboard and mouse so I can play from my bed. I don't play it enough to justify upgrading the computer itself, and it does everything I need it to. It's not connected to the net, though if I bother to upgrade it (or put a wireless card in my room) then I'll be able to LAN with it.

And yes, that's Warcraft III on the screen 8)

I'll have an FTO one day... i swear!

until then:
1. 2001 Merc-Benz A160 (porta-loo on wheels)
2. 2007 Peugeot 307 TDi (more fun than you'd expect)
3. 2009 Mitsubishi Triton Di-D (a monster in its own right)
4. 1992 Nissan NX Coupe (club car and project car)
5. 1996 Holden SB Barina - "The Nugget"
6. 1996 Jeep XJ Cherokee Sport - The Budget Build
7. 2010 Toyota Landcruiser 76 Series - V8 Goodness... - Build coming soon.
8. 1990 Audi 90 manual - The delightfully dignified daily driver
