New Toy

Post by Taz »

Hey guys,
long story short ive found another way to work rather than sitting in traffic/racking up costs/km's on my FTO.
It is an 2 stroke 80cc motor for a push bike. I have also purchased a NOS kit for it, a twin 'boost' bottle setup for it, upgraded spark plug, smaller sprocket and chain, air and fuel filter, fully synth oil for it and i will have to match port and polish it.
Expecting a top end of about 65-70kmph, with a fairly decent bottom end (this is without the happy gas on - not sure what to see then)
Will have to post up a video of it going hard when i get it - the motor/parts should start arriving next week, then ill go buy a decent bike to match and we can get started on the fun

oh and at 150miles per galleon, its pretty f**king cheap - whole setup exc. bike was about 300, expect to pay around 2-300 for the bike. Maybe more if i want a decent one and not a target special.

ok for starters those are road bikes, not the typical police bikes around here, i highly doubt they are going to even bother chasing me for something thats legal anyway. Im pretty sure i can take a bicycle a lot more places than a motorcycle.

I dont think the cop is going to quickly jump off his motorcycle, carry it up a flight of stairs and then continue to chase me. Point is, i can easily outrun any cops IF the rare chance comes that they decide to bother to chase me...

Run out of nos? the bike will go around 65 without nos, the nos is more for excessive acceleration - dont think the coppas can peddle that fast mate.

I would also like to point out i live right next to the port of brissie, and will be travelling through an industrial back road course to work - if any cops are out there on bikes and manage to catch me i deserve to be caught.

On another note, i have looked into getting a shift kit for it as well. I would splurge the 200AUD for it now, but i need to know the bike dimesions so i can order the right one, so it will go on in the coming weeks. Will basically allow me to use the standard bike gears and derailler to change gears which will greatly improve the overall performance instead of a single fixed sprocket in one gear.
Cant wait!

I thought about that but a lot of people are using them on the bike forums. I wont be on the nos often, just on the hills occasionally.
Will see if it was a good choice or not eventually
