What would be the reason in doing this?
Especially when the 4G63 is such a superior motor to an SR20DET.
If you say "but the SR20 is full alloy and weighs less" then 4B11T is the answer ;)

There is no point in putting a 35 and forgies in an FTO, you would never get it down, take a lesson from bennoz - it would be useless for bennoz to do anything more performance wise to his car, as he struggles to get all of his power down as it is.
If you really want a swap go a 13t, far easier/cheaper/better.

A manual mivec motor with a few basic bolt on mods such as extractors/exhaust/CAI isnt a slow car by any means, youll probably find that its enough power to satisfy you.

I think my car is a perfect balance and all rounder for the streets, it is quick enough, handles like a boss and is excellent on fuel at the same time while being reliable - i wouldnt swap it for any other car, maybe a new BRZ but thats it.

Sorry Taz was having JDM flash backs
Cars I have enjoyed driving are fto's,2jzgte supra,gtir,skyline(33 and 34's) and a seriously fast ke35 corolla turbo.

However you are correct I'd be happy with an almost stock mivec manual... :D

Have you looked at any to buy?
If big power is something that interests you, but the idea of frying the front wheels is a cause for concern, there is always the option of converting to AWD

AWD is why I'd like big power ,but what I'd like and can talk the Mrs into will be two very different things!

Cheers heaps for the input to everyone this was just an off the cuff idea! ;)

One step at a time. Get the car first, then dream about mods
