Problems:
So I thought I'd chuck a ride thread up, mainly cause I don't want to post Q's in old threads and all of that jazz, but also to show her off a bit and update where I am heading.
I've been talking to a mate who just finished his conversion into a mirage, and used a full FTO loom... Which is what I originally thought of doing, then I decided it was "too hard" so kept trying to work with the haltech. But now I've decided to use the OEM FTO ECU and Full loom and swap out the entire looms. This will solve numerous issues including the frayed coilpack plugs into the loom, the lack of neatness, the splicing into all different areas, its just a mess. So thats that...
My next issue is this lol:
What socket to use to get plugs out?! I'm using the standard one from kit, but it refuses to fit down the "chute" to the plug, it gets jammed about half way... Any tip or a special tool I need?
Other then that, the car is getting there, slowly crossing off defects... next thing is the Windshield ($300 later...), the sorting out the rear parcel shelf, then just tidy the car back up for engineering and rego (1.2k )

Yeah I figured that out the same day of taking those images once I took seat covers off and checked options plate

How come the intake manifold seems welded underneath? Is it one of those RPW 65mm TB packages?

There are many clues to it not being an MR, but no power windows and no black interior is a giveaway. Also the MR has holes on the body where the sidekirts clip in (as well as other little things)

I was inspecting the weld when i had it off the car, its not exactly a smooth weld, and RPW didn't seem to know what it was... but as long as it works is all that matters.

And yes the HJ's cup, easily a good couple of killawasps.



Was thinking about the car waking up this morning. One thing that came to mind is that I am using the Haltech MAP sensors, which is mounted on the firewall... Does anyone know where the OEM map sensor is/went? I'm yet to get the FTO loom, and only half way through the interior wiring manual so far... but I'm worried that RPW have welded off/blocked off the OEM sensor, meaning I'm going to either need to drill into the ITM or use the haltech MAP sensor but wire it into the FTO loom to the ECU.

I'm not a fan of the gold. But hay it's not my car So who gives a sh*t what I think about it .

So, the FTO loom has been sourced, and I've got a study break in 2 weeks, so I'll be ripping out all of the wiring and doing it again! Hurrah!

Also, the spark plug leads to the rear 3 cylinders... does it go:
Left to middle
middle to right
right to left

(first being the front cylinder, the next being the back ones, and looked at front on from front of car...)
I have a strong feeling they're wrong.

So while waiting for money and parts for the CE, did some small stuff to my CH (daily atm)








Re-NiteShaded the tail lights, and finished 80% of the black interior conversion... Needs a wash and clean bad, and some turbo, but thats way down the track haha...

But did get this for the CE, only issue really is Uni is holding me up:
Someone needs to show this CE lancer some love...

Do you know who? I did have one lined up but was convinced that the lancer one would hold up (what a joke). To use the lancer one I need to splice INTO the wires on the plug... and Goodbye PnP But If I use the the FTO cluster its all
