GPVR Seat Colour

Post by kiz »

Im looking at doing the interior of my White GPVR down the track and was wondering if anyone knew the colour code for the Blue front seats? Or a colour that best matches it.

Im trying to find a spray paint that will match as closely as possible so if anyone knows a good brand (cant find anything that matches through VHT or any other brands as of yet)

If not I can try to find someone who will make the colour with the colour code.

I'm sure someone has done this previously but I can't find any information that helps me. Everyone refers to the seats as 'Blue'... I've heard electric blue mentioned but want to confirm first

Cheers

After having a think, electric blue is rather light, more of a cyan, i got it mixed up...

Try this paint code; #0000B2.

It's pretty close to your seats. Let me know what you think!

You can just google it and it should come up.

Otherwise, use this site to find what you want;

Nah, you dont want all the panels blue. That ends up being too much. You want highlights to match,but keep the number down. Heres mine:

    That blue material ive got is pretty close. Depends how faded your version R seats are (the sun does fade the colour I found)

      Do you remember what brand/colour it is and where you got it?. Looks similar to what i'm after.

      I guess there is no way to tell how much they've faded. I guess at the end of the day it's probably close enough is good enough

      I actually ended up taking the car into an auto trimmers and matching the fabric on site. The material I chose also tended to match the pattern in the weave as well as the colour as the weave pattern in the Version R seats is a little unusual. I still have a little of the fabric left over. It might have some sort of identifying mark on it. Failing that, I could post you a swatch....

        Yea worst comes to worst if you send a sample in an envelope. Would only cost 60c to post :P

        yeah, no identifying numbers or anything on the material or packaging unfortunately (other than the TNT sticker - which is useless)
