Aerial up when on USB, sony head unit

Now, don't hate me for buying a sony head unit, it was just something reasonably cheap until I can afford the Alpine one I want :p
My problem here is that when it's on the USB input for my iPod, it seems to have a habbit of putting the aerial up for no reason.
Does anybody know what may be causing this, and if it's possible to stop it?

this is the unit here:

Fix:

Disconnect antenna power wire from headunit
Disconnect antenna
Remove antenna, apply filler
Paint

I live slightly rural, even the main aerial up full sometimes isn't enough... let alone the windscreen :(

Replace it with one of these, I guarantee you will never lose the signal and will gain 50kw, you also don't need to worry about it going up when you don't want it to either. :cheeky:

Be awfully ironic if this was a hit and was played on the radio over and over again

But yes, who the hell listens to the radio? literally the same top 20 songs over and over again all day broken up by one "fan request" song every hour or so. All of them the same sh*t as well. Only station ill listen to is Jacks former station fresh92.7 down in sydney

I'd just prefer to have the radio some times, I don't use it all the time....

I only listen to the radio these days! The radio sucks without the external antenna.

I can't stand listening to the radio any more.
They are constantly repeating the same crap music...
I was in a mate's Celica the other day, and he just cut the power cable for the aerial, and put a toggle switch on it.
I'm thinking that I may just do that myself.
