It was a long day but still fun :D .
I would rather work on cars all day with mates than sit around at home and hanging doors.
Just ticked off that we could not get the last two bolts to finish the job  .

Tell me about it...

Then, driving the ute to work today, and I think I broke something.. Not to mention it just had an alternator replacement on Friday night... But was driving along the freeway before C-Town, and doing 110 .. Heard a loud thunk, and something bashed the floor from underneath.

Tested the brake, and it was working, then hit the accelerator, and the car moved (so that ruled out brakes and drive shaft)... No charge light, so the battery and alternator are all good... Changed lane's and tested power steering... All good...

So just hope there was something on the road I didn't see, and hope it was just that which may of bounced up ...

Anyone want to tail me home tonight ... Blahahah ... With my luck like this of late, I won't take the Evo just in case I get done for something in that...
I just had to add it ......

And of course .. A big thank you to all those involved in the day ...

A few beer's ... Some heavy cursing, and a challenging day... Now to finish it off and see how it goes... Hopefully now under 90db ...

I've had that before...
Sump plug wasn't tight and it fell out and because of the oil pressure it bounced back up and hit the bottom of the car

Ouch .. That's gotta suck .. But yeah, no leaks, and no nothing.. So have continued to use the ute this week .. So all has been good..

:Like: Lets hope the bolts fit...

I want to see what this new exhaust sounds like.. I do like the look of the twin pipes. And down the track I want to do quad's ..

But yeah, would prefer to be there when you guys do any work on it, so I can be beer boy and at least provide a BBQ lunch (Maybe dinner by the time we finish)...

Did I mention the car failed... :(

On acceleration the car was fine, putting out 83db .. But on deceleration, it went up to 93.6db.. So the report was completed, the car failed and EPA notified... I then got stung $60 for the test..

Now, the EPA will issue a defect notice, but I am unsure if it will have a fine attached. Usually, if you are defected by the EPA (like the RBT ohh and follow that car to a checking station trick), you get fined for every db your car is over. My case would be around $150.

I will then be given a month to get the car to a state where it passes. If I do not do so, they cancel the registration of the vehicle.

The place that did my test, took all photo's of the air intake, exhaust, cat, and they really go over the thing. He also checked to see if the charcoal canister was in tact. At first he couldn't find it, but when he went over the car in more detail he noticed where it was tucked away ...

Not freaking happy Jan !!!
I just had to add it ......
