An experience you'll never forget

Post by Taz »

Something i've been REALLY wanting to do lately

http://www.migflug.com/en/jet-fighter-f ... lcrum.html

Basically i want to go supersonic  but alas its not a cheap affair - coming in at around 15 thousand AUD for a basic 25min flight up to 25 thousand for 'a trip to the edge of space'
All this as well can only be done in (where else of course) Russia.

Sydney alse have similar experiences in (lets face it - shittier) jets that CAN get up to 600 odd km/h for around 1200. Might be the more affordable one id say.

Shame i haven't won lotto yet. But this is definitely on the bucket list eventually - maybe someday when i travel to russia for a holiday.
f**k just thinking about it gets me all worked up :jerk:

does Australia even have migs of that stature.
i no theres one in NSW that does aeronautical flights with a mig but nothing like mig-29!
would be pretty cool, ive been told its really no different from sitting in a car thats going fast from pilots!
but would be worth it just to say ive gorn supersonic and broken the sound barrier!

Sydney does a package, although it would be nothing compared to a 29 - those things go up to mach 2.3, and are one of the most acrobatically capable planes in the world at speed.

I figure if im going to do it - im going to do it right.

f22 :spew:

overhyped brahhhh!!!!!

typhoons hunted down raptor like eating salads at dogfights, and even gripen scored something like 21/22 vs 0 for raptor during the redflag exercise over the sky of alaska couples of months ago.

USAF had to put up a statement saying f22 was never designed for dogfight but for bvr engagement instead.
One thing though they forgot when f22 was 1st introduced, they boasted so much about it featuring tvc and that it can out maneuver anything, as well as couple of hundred thousands of computer calculating the jets to make all the maneuver possible with huge advantage in dogfight'

even rafale and f18g had locked-ons the f22s in dogfight.

it fails so much on maintenance/defects that the pentagon urged the defense to scrap it off, with Obama announced to stop the production of f22.
With only 180+ f22 ever produced, it costs $420mil for each jet.

You can't get better than a MiG 29 as a civilian....
