Changing the fuel rail to a parallel feed - ok to do?

Post by Rob Furniss »

I'm thinking about changing the fuel rail piping by putting a Y splitter on to feed both banks equally from the left side and then exit out the right to another Y pipe to combine the line again and off to the fpr and then normal return to the fuel tank instead of it's current serial configuration.
Anyone on here done this and are there any issues with me doing this like is it illegal to mess with etc?
Also any issues feeding from the left instead of the right or anyone know that it's just a waste of time doing in the first place etc?
I'm not expecting any performance gains but more safeguarding.
Also can we get these locally?

I used one previously when I had an aftermarket fpr.
Ok was a dumb question, this looks like it would do the job and possibly there are a number of options.

Yeah no problems I did mine with turbo conversion from left to right and what you want to do is fine as it just needs correct pressure does not matter which way fuel flows as such. As for adaptor bottom link is what i used for input line yet return line to FPR is offset but discovered adapter for 6A13 of 4G93 works perfect as rail ends are same, legalities unsure but how legal is S/C too lol

Yeah I got my adaptors cheap from the US. They're the same as a GTO from memory.
