Needs to be fused, needs to be sealed bat in NSW. Been there!

If not a sealed battery it needs to be in a sealed box with a vent hose from inside the box to the outside of the car.

The big thing is there is less sh*t to move out of the way when you go to change out your fuel filter. Or replace your gear selector cable :twisted: .

:lol: so true. But you took out the battery and replaced it with even more stuff, the only difference is that stuff makes you go beeeeeeeeppppppping faster :twisted: .

what do you mean by a "sealed" battery? i have a good box that will bolt and strap down. why does it need a vent? it has the gaps to let the wiring thru to the terminals, is that enough venting?

It's to do with the poisonous and potentially flammable gases that are released by the non sealed batteries. If yours in in a box just run a hose from the box to somewhere that is open to the outside in the boot.

There is a drain hole under the spare wheel u could use.

Yea that one or i'm pretty sure there is one either side that comes out behind the rear bar somewhere. The boots are usually well vented
