I would hope you would get your 10k for it but if you want to sell it reasonably quickly i'd say around the 9k mark.

It's not a GPvR and although it does look very clean, the rego has 2 months left and unfortunately the market for FTO's tends to be younger. We like the whole aftermarket wheels and exhaust done for us (lazy)

Good luck with the sale, if I win tatts next week i'll take it off your hands!

Noticed that as well. Why would you replace a safe airbag steering wheel with one that doesn't have an airbag? :\

The factory steering wheel was really cracked and sticky (FYI, cracks in the steering wheel are ALSO illegal) so I replaced it with an aftermarket one. Never had any hassle over it. Car doesn't get police attention because it really isn't modified.
I still have the original steering wheel. None of my cars have air bags, I own old cars, it doesn't bother me. If it bothers you, you could just put the factory one back in. As I said in the ad, I'm including the steering wheel and air box.

By the same token, the factory shifter's H pattern has worn away. ALSO illegal. But looks tidier than aftermarket. You can't do anything to a car that isn't illegal, this is Australia...

It's more so the fact that if you crash, the insurance company will check, realise its illegal and wipe you (no insurance)

Can we not spam the for sale thread with this?

Guys, I know you wouldn't like this if it was your thread. And for all you know the stock wheel could have had no airbag.

And considering Momo wheels can be engineered, it is legal. Mine is engineered in my Evo. So put it down to "buyer beware" and let her sell her car in peace.

Thanks guys.

FYI, I work in insurance. They will only void a claim if an illegal modification directly led to the accident, i.e. caused you to stack it. I'm not stupid and I don't do dangerous things, I was aware that the car doesn't have an airbag with the aftermarket steering wheel, but hell, my MX5 and TA22 Celica don't have air bags. Oldest trick in the book is don't do anything stupid and don't cause accidents because if someone else hits me, I'm covered anywho! I'm not as blonde as I look :P
