I'm so glad I'm on the northern hemisphere, enjoying a delightfully cool winter

I didn't think it would get that hot in Australia?
When I was in Canberra summers were hot, but not overly hot and somewhat short lasting

Canberra wasnt far short of that temperature yesterday. Im only an hour and a half from Canberra(work there) and its usually hotter than here.

Hope you have a nice swimming pool/water hole/lake to dip in. I would have gone crazy in that heat without an AC :\

I have a pissy portable AC in my house and it brought the outside temp of 47 down to inside temp of 41

Meanwhile, my fan just blew 47 degree air around my room and lowered it to probably 46.9...
