All these years of me saying that its harder to take the dash out to change the heatercore haha
Dwayne, how do i get the heater core out with the dash out? I see that the blower motor, evaporator, air distribution unit all have nuts on the top and bottom, but i cant see how i can move it forward enough to get the core out?
Is there any tricks?
Why are you taking the heatercore out for?

Well turns out I need to buy a new heatercore with pipes. The seals I got from demisterman ripped when I took them off the old heatercore. Just gonna buy alloy one with plastic pipes off eBay for $150.
So delayed again.
Well other than that just tidying up the front bar wiring and got some Parker globe holders for my facelift headlights of a 121 metro believe it or not.
Be good to get the front bar on again..

Take off al the nuts holding the units off and you should be able to remove the unit next to the heater core to get at the core itself. Is tight, but will work.

I got one off eBay but I didn't read the ad saying that the pipes that come with it are universal.
I'd recommended just getting it all from demisterman.
Other than that I spent a long day on the FTO.
-Plumbed up the heater core with some fresh rubber tubing and clamps-
-Found both throttle body coolant pipes were rotted so swapped them for some fresh tubing and clamps-
-thoroughly cleaned the TB and gasket mating surface
-tidied up some vacuum lines I messed around with back in the day.
-tossed out the vacuum gauge tubing, because the gauge is useless lol

Your car should be mint when done. Do us a favour & don't sell the f**king thing. Mothball it. It owes you nothing.

Did some more work today, put some legit plugs down for the front bar for easy unplug.
Also wired in the facelift parkers

I also had to rewire my bumper wiring, makes such a difference, those factory plugs are annoying, and so fragile.
