Running Temperature

Post by shadowarrior »

Noticed the Fto hitting between 90 and 120 (middle and high) on traffic from Brisbane to Gold Coast yesterday. It reaches the 90 - 120 mid point when moving in traffic, but as soon as i stop for a minute it comes back to 90. Is this normal running temperature/behaviour of the car?

That seems a tad high. Are you running coolant?. Is the overflow bottle full and is there any rubbish in it. Could be radiator cap, or radiator partially blocked.

The radiator wasn't in a good nick when Taz checked it while putting the extractor in. The hose connectors were rusted and flaking off.

Hmmm do you think I should replace it before the ride to your place?

Go to a radiator place and ask them to assess blockage and then go from there. It might just need a flush.

    cheers
