The Ultimate Gearbox Reference.

Hey everyone,

After sifting through mitsubishi.epc-data.com I have compiled this list of gearboxes that were available in the FTO.

Use this as a reference if you were wondering if you had a LSD or standard diff type. Your gearbox number is stamped on the top of the gearbox.

What's the difference between the two GR manual gearboxes?
I fix cars.

Yeah, but is there any reason as to why they are different part numbers and listed seperately? i.e. are the gearboxes themselves different aside from the build date?

    The GP Version R gearboxes cost near 6k for a full replacement. PLEASE TREAT THE 5 SPEED LSD TIPS WITH CARE LOL.

    Just whack in a manual and give all the 5spd tips to me for spares. :lol:

    The 5spd tips in general are not cheap.
    Very few of them, and not very many on our shores.

    Where do you find the number on the auto box? Ive looked but it doesnt seem obvious! :roll:

    Also what is an auto box worth if its just a non lsd auto box?

    Nah, if you get lucky and someone needs one then maybe 150 bucks or something. Not many people tend to need them.

    I had a bloke trying to tell me his 4 speed auto magna does 175 in second gear... i was struggling not to make him look like a fuckwit

    No way it does 175 in second, It can do at least 220.
