FTO SP20?

Feel free to dump this one into the "bjk is mad" basket, but thoughts? (also, this is maxing out my abilities on photoshop, don't hate  )

The deal is that I've got the front bar from a Mazda 323 SP20 that I was going to put onto my last car. before I wrote it off. Obviously now it's just sitting in the garage amongst the recyclables, and side skirts from the same model. I haven't had much luck selling it, and doubt that I will any time soon, so I started wondering if maybe I could do something with it.

How hard would it be to custom up two bars together? The mazda one is genuine plastic stuff IIRC.

Moreover:
1) I'm not sure if the dimensions are quite the way they are appearing here, this is just me sitting at my desk.
2) Not sure about indicator placement, or whether I'll be able to wire up the foglights.

ANYWAY.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but to do what you want to do, youd need to use lots of bog. And this does not stick to plastic. The rear bar I did was a hatchet job like you are suggesting. And it was literally falling apart as its was being copied. Im afraid that is the only way you would be able to make it work. Build it, make a mould and then pump out a copy.

Yeah, I'm not surprised it's not an easy thing to do. Not without a lot of moolah anyway!

Added to the sub-basket of "If I win the lottery". Gotta say though, I'm not minding the look of it.

Certainly not everyone's cup of tea then. You have to say there's been a lot worse though!

Bogging isn't the only way. Best way to join plastic is plastic welding. And then finish it off with some bog. Would hold up a bit better.

But as has been said above..... don't.

Just because something CAN be modded doesn't mean it should :P

It reminds me of the CM4 style front bumper, except the CM4 looks better:

Whaaa. Seriously though, it may be a bad photoshop, but if you think that looks better, than you're not the only one off your rocker.

The rear bar was plastic welded (did that as well). Didnt help much. Minor mods work out OK with a plastic welder, but major ones dont (from what ive found). The plastic ends up not going in the shape you want it and you need to use lots of bog to tidy up the mess. Once you do that, any amount of flexing cracks it off the plastic. Bumps on the road would do that aw well.

I find the irony of 'frog laughing' kinda ripe.

Maybe I'll try my hand at drawing a picture so I'm not limited by angles.

Put it as a strip above the fog lights, not a strip like the sh*tty ones destinationtoaster has on his but like a full integrated one similar to the clubsport drl but shorter and an indicator not a drl

Wonder if you can add all the silver chrome pieces in the headlights like all the new cars have?

Huh, could work. That being said, no money = we're not finding out what it will actually look like.
