Brakes

Post by destinationtoby »

Occasionally when brakeing, random pull to one side. Des that mean a caliper is fukinup?

Took the brakes off the other gpx and I think it's got ABS (has another lead that connects on the side near the brake line)?
Plan is to recondition and paint those calipers, then fit them straight onto mine. I want to make sure that its fine to put the abs calipers on the non abs car, Before I do this????

ABS is not part of the caliper, it is part of the hub, all GPX calipers are the same.

Why don't you just fix up the white car lol it's already manual and it's got abs and better paint...

Could mean you are tram tracking as well, or even that you need a wheel alignment. Uneven road surface will sometimes cause it, wheel alignment will make it worse.

    Cos the motor's fuked.....

It only recently started doing this occasionally, so, no.

Wouldn't be shocks, as they are new. Could be tyres as they seem to lose air a fair bit due to the dodgy paint job I did with the tyres on lol
    Ill check them
Then get wheel alignment and fit the new calipers .. Should hopefully fix the issue.

    What is tram tracking?

But it's easier to drop a new motor in then do a manual conversion?
