Newbie from north coast NSW

Post by picka »

Hey Guys
Found this site a little while ago but only just registered and decided to say hi,

I've had my 95 GPX since about Oct last year, i've done a few things to it and am quite impressed
with the car. After modding a heap of turbo cars and stuff it was after a change and i am loving
the change to the mivec. The throaty sound from the exhaust is awesome at high revs.

A few specs on my car
95 GPX
Tein Coilovers
Extractors
Leather interior
100.00kms
Cold air intake
Front and rear strut braces
HID headlights
A few add ons in the interior eg. dial surrounds and stuff

Now im just looking for some new rims when i work out the right offset cause the current ones
are trashed but all in all the im very happy with the car.

p.s. any help with offset would be much appreciated
i'm looking at 17x8 with either +30 or +44, does anyone have either of those? if so how do they fit
and look?

Welcome to the club. Always great to get a convert from the turbo arena. Im sure someone will come along with the offset info. Its also worth doing a search on the forum. Just search the word offset and you should pull up more than enough.

I'm getting some Rota grids and in the 17's these are the only offsets i have found,
i didnt want to deal with scrubbing and bumpy ride so im just gonna stick to whats on the
car, plus theres 4 brand new tyres on it now so im just gonna swap them over.

    WTTC mate.

17x8 with a +30 will fit fine with possible scrubbing on full lock

I've got 17x8 with +32 and get slight scrubbing on full lock so +30 should be a tiny bit better.

Ah, I looked at those once, look forward to seeing them on! (yours will probably make it before mine, too  ) And your specs are only 3mm off my RPF1's.

    An inch smaller. :troll:

But same. Also depends on the profile of the tyre, too as to how "big" it looks I reckon.

They showed up today :D so i'll sort out fitting them asap and put up some pics so you can see,

i'll have 215/45 tyres to start with so they'll be stretched but will fill out the guards still but i'll get some
    fatter tyres down the track.
