Let me finish mine and see how long it takes and whats involved. Im a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to this sort of stuff, so its probably not going to be quick to start with at least. A 2nd set of hands would certainly help.

Best thing about vinyl is it's consistent, it looks like a perfect paint job every time. Not to mention if you need to repair a panel it can all be done yourself, just fix any dents and re-wrap that panel.

Do you know if there is color variances between different batches?
So if you need some in the future the color might be slightly off?
Maybe getting a few meters spare wouldn't be a bad idea

Any idea how you're going to tackle the roof section? Are you going a different color or will you try to merge 2 pieces?

3 pieces actually. The material is 1.5 metres wide. Based on my calculations, this will get you from just under the top of the sideskirt to the closest lip in the roof (the groove that runs through the roof - non-sunroof). I will be putting a separate section in the middle of the groove that goes just short of the top of the lip in the middle of the roof. The part that comes up the side of the car will go ovr the lip and just to the bottom. The join will be the lip itself. You wont be able to pick it if done right. Im finding that joins hide really well depending on where you put them. You need to put one on the mirror too. The best place for that is at the narrowest point (under the mirror glass). On the orange car, that was done as 2 separate pieces with a join on each side. The sideskirt also has several joins. The caps on the ends of the sideskirt are a different piece (join is on the curve). Ive also had to put a join in the gray insert on the sideskirt. Less happy with this one as its fairly visible if you get close. Have n idea of how to improve this, but will have to have a bit of a play with it to see if I can do better.

Very similar blue to the stock midnight blue colour.

Nope, this is definitely lighter and has a metallic sparkle to it. Almost an exact match to bayside blue:

Wait until you see how the sideskirt looks with the grey insert I put into it late last night. Fitted up to the car. Looks magic.

Dwayne what are the good brands for vinyl wrap?
I dont know all of them, but can quote a few

Avery Dennison
3M
Hexis

Couldnt tell you if supercheap or other auto stores will stock them - possibly not as they are generally offering cheap stuff to compete with one another, but worth an ask. You can buy as little as a metre from the guy that did my car in canberra though if that helps.

That does look nice. Well if not white then that color blue will make it look great.

How much does that guy charge for a meter?
And what brand does he stock?
Can you give me his contact details please?

I would make the grey carbon fibre wrap or a flat black.

That will go better with the blue. Then I would do the same to the indent in the rear bar..

The silver looked great on white, but will not look as good on the blue.. But JMO..
