Weapon-R

Post by PHIL069 »

I know it has been discussed before but I am thinking of purchasing one.
This one...
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll ... 0400046317
It would be cheaper if our dollar was better off, but I guess I can't hope for that in a hurry
We all know that fitment is not gauranteed as we haven't seen a pic of one fitted, but I found this elusive pic (it's not the same one as I am thinking about, it's the one that's a bit cheaper)
I found the pic on Google Images and it originated from FTONZ
Pic isn't the best...

Wrap is just there to stop any vibration with the battery.

Looks good. 8)
Thanks :D
My battery might be a bit wider than yours, but it should be ok.

Did you get the silicon end fittings and hose clamps with it?
Did you get the "RAM Air Kit II that is included with this Secret Weapon intake (limited time offer)"?

I guess it would still need to have the pod covered.
If you had wrapped the battery you could also have stopped any rattle and had the chrome on show  But I guess wrapping the pipe would also keep the airflow cooler.

If I decide to get this, which I'm 95% sure, I will have to sell my BMC twin flow pod filter that I paid $130. ;)

All bits and pieces mentioned above came with it.

Waiting until I get a new front bar before I fit the ram kit.

Vectose mentioned maybe cutting a little off the throttle body end so it would space out from the back of the head light a bit better.

Sounds pretty good too. Just in the middle of making a enclosure for it :D

The Weapon_R intake is designed with a pipe inside a pipe, this creates an air vortex that increases air speed into the engine.

"The Secret Weapon Intake was designed to increase air intake volume to the engine. The concept is to create two different air velocity profiles, one traveling at higher speeds than the other, which a) increases air volume and speed to the engine and b) feeds the engine 3x more air than a conventional air intake system!"
