Re: Error codes
The codes will cycle through and repeat.
For example say you have two error codes. 12 and 24.
It will do one long flash and two short flashes (12) and then it will do two long flashes and 4 short (24).
It will then keep repeating.

So it's 1 code cycling or 2 codes ?Vectose wrote:The codes will cycle through and repeat.

Re: Error codes
You didn't video for long enough, but it looks like...
2 long + 4 short repeating = code 24 repeating
2 long + 4 short repeating = code 24 repeating

Re: Error codes
I was just using the codes for reference. As Phil said, video wasn't long enough. But they will just keep cycling. If it's one then it will keep repeating the same sequence. If multiple it will show each code as mentioned above then repeat.

Re: Error codes
Speed sensor is on the top of your gearbox towards the back of the car, not the reverse light switch further back but simular looking.
Error 24 =
- Malfunction of the speed sensor
- Improper connector contact, open circuit or short-circuited harness wire of the speed sensor circuit
- Malfunction of the engine ECU

Re: Error codes
I am wrong
The vehicle speed sensor is in the "V" of the engine. It's connector is inbetween two of the injector connectors. The two injectors on the front bank to the passenger side of the engine.
I will look for a pic soon

Re: Error codes
I was right to begin with
The electrical manual doesn't show placement very well.
So disregard the second description and go with the first one

Re: Error codes
Stepper motor plugged in?
Its on the same loom.
Sensor could be dodgy, also try reseating the whole plug. You may not have pushed it in all the way.
Did engine light light up in white car?

Re: Error codes
And by repeating I mean taking the 10mm bolt out removing whole sensor, check if any damaged cogs, I believe u could also use the one out of your auto box if u still have it
