Haha the FTO is and looks a lot smaller. The FTO is way more fun to drive. The Prelude has me very bored, although it's comfy enough for long drives. The 7 hour drive back from Canberra in my FTO was hard going!

Haha, I found the FTO pretty good for long drives actually. It's on sh*t city roads where it's a little rattly.

I drove Canberra to Adelaide in one day after I picked mine up from dstocks.

In one day?? Fair play to you mate! Ah maybe I just have to get used to the FTO suspension again ;)

I was a little ambitious. In hindsight, I should've just left a day earlier and stopped halfway. Would've taken me the same amount of time with more breaks. But it was an experience to be sure. Less intimidating than some people made it out to be actually. I even bought 4 cans of red bull and didn't end up drinking them, haha.

I drove mine from the Central Coast, NSW to country SA. I loved the entire trip, it's good to drive into country towns and everyone stares at the FTO. :D

We don't have to go to little towns for that here, just the two of us driving through the city turns enough heads, let alone when there's three of us, all white FTOs

I'm planning a road trip around Australia eventually. Would be nice to do it in the FTO but doubt I will.

Yeah, my parents are planning a trip back up to Emerald in QLD to see people in January (we used to live there pre-2010) and asked if I wanted to come along. But I dunno if I want to put that many kms on a further ageing motor, haha.

Cheers man :D

Yea tell me about it. I didn't realise how rare they were until a few years after I sold it. I owned it when I lived in Ireland. Living in Melbourne two years now so I decided it's time to get another GP! The guy who bought it off me has it looking pretty neat and tidy though.

Nice GR you have. Nice front bumper and colour. Did you get a respray?

That looks in good condition. Have only seen a couple of black version R's (and wrecked one that had collected a tree)

That must have been a sad sight to see one wrapped around a tree :(

The guy I originally bought it from, imported it directly from Japan to Ireland. He was a Mitsi mechanic and couldn't find a black GP in Ireland or the UK. I doubt even Japan has many left!

They werent particularly common to begin with. Version R's and Version R Aeros are reasonably rare. (particularly of not white)
