Post by GazGPvR »

Hey everyone. Newbie from Melbourne. I just bought a 1998 GPvR. Looking for advice on where to get a few parts for it. Any help would be great :D

WTTC.

Depends what you need mate. For most parts our vice president 'dstocks' is the man to go to.

Got pics/info of the car?
I fix cars.

Hi mate. My aerial mast need a new pulley. I can't get one anywhere. The motor is fine, so I just need the device that makes it go up and down!

They are pretty hard to get. I had to buy mine in ACT. In the process of changing rego and getting RWC!

That's true. Some of them are pretty rough. I was looking at a few GPX's but I really wanted a GPVR. I'm happy I waited. I used to own a 1997 black GPVR about 4 years ago. I never really got over selling it!

Great cars. Now all I have to do is get rid of my Prelude

Thanks :)

True! In my defense, the only reason I bought a Prelude was due to finding the right FTO. It only took 10 months!

Also, that's two Prelude/FTO owners on the forum. Is this a trend?

It might be a trend...but at least I didn't start it! Cheers guys. I live in Caulfield South. You'll probably see it around...after I go through the horrible process of changing rego and RWC!

Your black GPvR would have been in the rarest of the rarest of FTO's category, shame you sold it. But its great to know you've seen the light that is FTO and come back!!

Cheers. Yea I only realised how rare they actually were a few years ago after I sold it, when I was looking for another one. Here's a picture of my black one...
