Re: Bonfire 2014
There wasnt any wind and the tripod wasnt sitting in the water. Was just on the cement over the edge. I thought the water running over the causeway itself might have been causing a bit of a vibration though (maybe). Other than that, buggered if I know.shadowarrior wrote:Yeah Dwayne, shutter was open too long, so wind/water would have vibrated the tripod.
The water looks nice though

Re: Bonfire 2014
Nice pics dwayne.
The camera was focused on the water in the foreground. In turn making the cars and background un-focused/blury.
If the camera had vibrated the cars would have made streaks in the pic.
If the exposure was too long then the pics would have been washed out/over bright.
I will have a go and see if photoshop can move the focus point, unsure if it can but I will try.
I disagree...shadowarrior wrote:Yeah Dwayne, shutter was open too long, so wind/water would have vibrated the tripod.

Re: Bonfire 2014
But if the shutter wasn't open too long, you wouldn't get smooth silky water.
He must have used a long exposure time with smaller aperture or less iso. The white parts of the pic is over exposed. He might have gotten away with a higher depth of field I think.
