Radiator

Noticed a leak after a going for a drive today.
Its leaking from the circled area in the photo and it sprays up while driving, enough to leave noticeable amounts underneath the bonnet.
When I fitted the front extractors I had trouble putting the radiator back in, the metal bracket bit on the back of the fans was jamming up against the furthest pipe on the header.. I ended up just forcing it down into place and it fitted.. But it stil just sits against the header pipe, which was obviously putting pressure on the radiator and combined with a heap of hot coolant pressure has caused it to split at the top. does that sound about right??

I've got another radiator ready to go in, but I'm obviously going to have the same problem.. .. :?
Has anyone else had issues with the extractor sticking to too far out? Thinking I can probably just grind it down a few mil... Or What else???

u need to remove the fan adjacent to the extractors. just run with a single fan.

Nope it's the proper one.. The only one that clears the aircon compressor.

So better to mount the radiator with the fan hard against the extractors, that are bolted hard to the motor, that moves and vibrates, causing hard vibrations to transfer into your radiator, causing the tanks to split.

Theres a better idea for you, just grind the extractors down a few mill until you have clearance

Is that coolant leaking? You might have cracked the tank if thats the stock unit. The plastic degrades and becomes brittle over time. Might pay to get a pressure test done to check.
