Body Kits - Last Call

Post by dstocks »

Alright, spoke to the fibreglasser today. His plan has changed. He is now going to shut up shop completely by Feb. If you want either the Factory TS Front Bar, D Cuatro sideskirts, Vortex Rear Bar or Kaze Fenders made by him, you are going to have to move quickly.

I intend to try scrape together cash to buy the moulds (suggestions on how to make this happen would be appreciated). Even if I manage to achieve this, im not sure how ill arrange/make copies at this stage.

So lots of question marks im afraid. Thought I had more time for this, but apparently not. Sorry for the short notice, its all I got too.

cheers

I'm sure there are people that would throw some cash toward you buying the molds.

Pass the virtual collection jar around!

$2200. I goint to have a talk to the fibreglasser and see if he can give me a crash course on how to make them. He says its easy and ive done a bit of glassing before. Otherwise well have to find someone else to make them.

Is there a way to do this as a business kinda deal?
Like partership with anyone that wants in like say $200 investment with yourself and 10 others.
Depending on what kind of profits you would be making after paying for parts and your labour (if you end up becoming the fibreglasser).
If partners could make say $10 per sale each, then we would all start making profit after 20 sales.
        or
        something like that.

Then I would be in for a $200 investment.

Wonder why he's charging that much if he's shutting up shop, what's he going to do with them otherwise? :\

I'm pretty sure the amount he's offering them to Dwayne is much, much less than what he would sell them to another shop for, even though it seems like a lot. At least IIRC.

Yep, he told me yesterday hes already sold 300 of his moulds. Dont know if that's other fibreglassers or what. He said that if I wasn't interested in'taking them he'd be selling them for 5K. So we're getting a good discount. Happy to do some sort of buy in arrangement (investment) as long as its not too complex to manage. Ill have to have another talk to him to workout the details.

As for getting moulds done before he closes, not even sure how many (if any) hell be able to fit in before he calls it a dayBest we can do is ask.Ill be doing that Monday.

          Alrighty,

Good news is that I think I have convinced him to pump out a couple of bits before finishing up.

Obviously, the sooner you confirm, the sooner I can lock it in. They are still taking orders at the moment, but not sure how long this will last.

So that's 4 people in for a $200 investment. Gives you an option if you can't come up with anything by then.
