If you get your license on time, you should come down to the club's bonfire - http://ftoaustralia.com/v3/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=28493

Basically just heaps of beer and talking about FTOs for a weekend :thumleft:

The Integra was really really bad. The previous owner did the mods themselves, but they were really bad mods. Had aftermarket suspension in the front, but stock in the back??? It also was lowered beyond the legal limit (to the point where I literally had to come to a stop and then maneuver my car over the speed bump or else the bumper would scrape).

All that has been repaired though (sister spent $2000 on repairs. Lol)

- Handles nicely. Feels very light. (Well duh, it's lighter than the FTO)
- Acceleration is okay. 0-100 in just over 9 seconds.
- Brakes aren't as good.
- Engine sound is pretty average. The exhaust is stock.
- Seats aren't too comfortable.
- Horrible driving position. I'm 176cm and I have long legs. I always end up kneeing the steering wheel.
- Front seat also feels very cramped.

The FTO has a lot more grip in the turns and a lot more power. Steering isn't as responsive though and it feels a bit heavy and stiff. I don't really feel it when I put the power down either. Like, I know I'm accelerating fast, but I don't feel it as much as I did in the Integra despite the Integra being slower. FTO is much more comfortable to drive and a lot better on petrol too.

Me attending the bonfire =

Socially awkward 16 year old with very little knowledge of cars...trying to talk about cars. Also, underage and unable to drink. Just a tad out of place... lol.

Ahhh well. I'll see attend at least once.

The FTO actually has a low amount of torque - about the same torque figure as horsepower.

Get a front and rear strut brace on the FTO if you don't already. About a hundred bucks each but makes a big difference. Set of good shocks and springs will do wonders too.

Then obviously theres the option of an LSD, better tyres, etc. to help it get around a corner.

Don't worry, we have a few young guys (I only just turned 19) and plenty of people don't drink either (it's legal on a private property which is where it's hosted). Don't need to know anything about cars to have a good weekend.

Well then yeah, sure. I'd definitely come then.

I'm gonna do a few mods to it later. Not just yet. I have blown my whole years saving and I've had to sell off half of my video game collection for that car. Lol. Cost me $6400, then plus extras about $8500 in total.

Need to save up and buy some other stuff first so it will be a few months before I do any mods to the car.

G'Day Ryan Greentea, WTTC.
Your FTO does have nice lines and looks in great nic.
How much did you pay for it?
How are you getting 0-100 times on your L's?
Your training driver must be asleep or a racing car driver

@Phil

Thanks dude. I paid $6400. I took those pics on the day I bought the car, which was like two months ago.

Got the 0-100 with the previous owner. He offered to take me on a test drive to the servo so I could have a look at the car in better lighting (It was almost 9pm).

Don't worry mate i've just dropped $10k and 12 months into building mine from scratch

It's always a fun weekend. Good to meet everyone actually. Hopefully I'll be organising a dyno day out at Thornleigh so might meet a few people then and test out the car's powar ;)

That and I also want to organise a day at the drags at eastern creek when mine is running.

Dunno, gonna call up the place that built my engine and see if I can get a group price. Will be in the new year, though.

Probably $50-$100 per person for a power run.
