KNOCKING CLUNKING SOUND

okay so have had this problem since a month now and its driving me crazy.
every time i turn and or go over bumps i hear knocking clunking type of sound at the front usually
what could it be? swaybar? shocks? anyone else had this problem?

DIY or having a mechanic do it?

CV joints are like $50 for the kit from memory from fleabay.

You need to have a look and play with your bits first to work out what the problem is.
Then buy the parts required.

Fair enough. In that case I would suggest finding the problem first then saucing your parts then taking them with the car to your mechanic. Otherwise they will charge a bit more for parts.

my mechanic gets my parts cheaper than I can ever find them... He's a family friend though
And I've only taken my car there once
